Above our heads exists a world we barely perceive: the canopy.

The uppermost layer of the forest, a suspended threshold between sky and earth, it filters light, shelters life, and muffles sound. Everywhere, the canopy is a living architecture—dense and fragile—that regulates the rhythm of the world unfolding below.

Mégane situates herself within this in-between space, in the shadow cast by these vegetal heights. Through her work, she explores what remains hidden beneath the surface, what grows from within, what silently watches over the world above.

As visitors move through the exhibition, a question lingers: what are we truly looking at? The distant sky, or the thickness of the foliage concealing it? The light descending from above, or the shadow rising to meet it?

This ambiguity runs through the exhibition like a delicate thread: is the subject what is hidden, or what hides it?

Here, the canopy transcends its natural reality to become a mental and emotional space—a place of protection, retreat, and mystery. A threshold of perception that one crosses without ever fully grasping it.

With an almost silent attentiveness, Mégane invites us to slow down, to listen to the spaces in between, and to connect with what grows discreetly. Her works are inner forests, where every detail softly whispers of the living world.
