Commissioned Works
More and more people are reaching out to discuss a commissioned artwork, and every story that arrives in my inbox is unique.
Behind each request lies a place, a memory, an emotion, or sometimes simply the desire to live alongside a landscape.
These exchanges deeply nourish my practice and often lead to meaningful encounters and collaborations.
An Artwork for a Place or a Story
Each commission is rooted in my ongoing artistic research around landscape, memory, perception, and the narratives carried by images.
The works created remain faithful to my visual language, materials, and the themes that run throughout my practice.
Some commissions begin with a particular space, a quality of light, or an architectural setting. Others emerge from a personal story, a memory, or a moment that deserves to be celebrated and preserved.
Getting Started
To help me better understand your project, I invite you to share the desired dimensions, the intended location of the artwork, and the aspects of my work that resonate most strongly with you.
You are also welcome to include images of specific works that speak to you, highlighting particular atmospheres, colour palettes, or compositions.
Every commission begins with a conversation. Together, we define the format, intentions, and specific characteristics of the work. This dialogue is an essential part of the process and accompanies the development of each piece.
The Creative Process
Each commission is an original artwork.
If certain existing works particularly resonate with you, they can naturally serve as a starting point for our discussion. A colour palette, atmosphere, composition, or family of forms may inspire the creation of a new piece.
However, I do not create exact replicas of previous works.
By nature, every painting is unique. Even when a commission draws inspiration from an existing piece, the creative process leaves room for new discoveries, new balances, and new relationships between forms and colours.
The final work will remain connected to my artistic practice while developing its own identity.
Formats and Lead Times
Commissions are created within the range of formats that are already present in my body of work. A selection of these formats can be viewed on this website or provided upon request through my portfolio.
Lead times vary depending on the dimensions of the work and my exhibition schedule. As a general guideline, commissions usually require between one and four months from confirmation to completion.
Delivery
For collectors based in Belgium, artworks are to be collected directly from my Brussels studio.
International shipping can be arranged. Packaging and shipping costs are not included in the artwork price and are quoted separately according to the size of the work and its destination.
